**Who are we?**
Wintringham is a not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We employ over 950 staff and operate from multiple offices across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

- all' approach to recreation. Our multi-skilled Recreation team endeavour to create an individualised approach to activities, that are both meaningful and tailored to our clients' interests.

**Your new role**
An opportunity exists for two experienced, proactive and dynamic individuals to join our Recreation Team as Recreation Coordinators on a full-time basis. You will work closely with two other Recreation Coordinators.

The Western Region role will coordinate our Home Care Package (HCP), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and Fee for Service (FFS) recreation programs across Melbourne’s Western suburbs, Outer North suburbs and Regional Victoria. The South-Eastern/Peninsula position will be responsible for the coordination of our Home Care Package (HCP), National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and Fee for Service (FFS) recreation programs across sites. In these fast paced and multi-faceted roles, you will provide direction and support to Wintringham’s Community Recreation team.
Reporting to the Senior Recreation Coordinator, you will ensure that the recreation services provided by Wintringham are of the highest standard. You will provide leadership and supervision as well as guide and develop the program through a range of innovative and creative recreation plans and strategies.

**Your responsibilities and duties include**:

- Working collaboratively with the Senior Recreation Coordinator to foster the development of innovative Recreation programs that meet the individual leisure needs of each resident or client.
- Providing line management, formal supervision and mentoring to the Recreation Officers
- Scheduling of recreation officers
- Assisting Recreation Officers to continually improve the quality of recreation which they facilitate.
- Ensuring the program continues to be reviewed within a Continuous Quality Improvement Framework and maintain relevant accreditation standards.
- Working collaboratively with the Senior Recreation Coordinator to maintain a suitable bank of casual Recreation staff and ensure individuals have the right cultural fit.

- A current Victorian drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
- An approved qualification in Recreation, Community Development, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent
- Experience in Recreation Therapy or Lifestyle and Leisure.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in working effectively and sensitively with a broad range of clients, including those with high support needs and challenging behaviours
- Excellent administration and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and manage, plan and organise one’s own work.
- Knowledge of housing and support issues facing older homeless people who may have a physical and/or mental disability and/or drug and alcohol issues.
