As a scrum master you will be working alongside cross functional teams in re-engineering, transforming and continuous improvement on how we secure Macquarie’s environment from ongoing cyber threats. You will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives as well as working with the team to identify ways to enhance and improve the team’s ways of working. You will be the team’s personal coach in motivating and helping to co-ordinate delivery of tasks, issues and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Effective facilitation of squad ceremonies to form high performing and self managed teams
- Use metrics effectively to continuously improve quality and performance of the squad
- Work closely with the squad and/or other scrum masters to understand progress, dependencies, impediments to achieve great client and team outcomes
- Assist in the removal of impediments and/or guide the Squad to remove impediments
- Co-ordinate delivery tasks, dependencies and work alongside the team to review existing processes and identify areas of improvement
- Support and educate stakeholders/ Product Owner(s) to work with the Squad to create product visions, roadmaps and success criteria, to refine and maintain a healthy backlog
- Guide the squad in adopting Agile principles, methodologies and common practices to delight their customers
- Foster a healthy safe work environment which promotes psychological safety, continuous improvement, and effective risk management for your teams.

Beneficial experience that you will bring:

- 3+ year’s experience in a Scrum Master role
- Proficient in using Scrum/Kanban for feature delivery and operational tasks
- Experience working with Dev ops teams
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and mentoring skills
- Effective stakeholder management skills to help the team in managing stakeholder expectations and co-ordination of tasks
- A strong team player who knows what it takes to be a servant leader.
- Passionate about Agile practices and continuous improvement, always on the lookout for ways the squad can win and improve and feels a genuine sense of pride and achievement when they do.
