The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Court Support Services Manager role is responsible for the leadership and management of the Court Support Services programs (including CISP, ARC and the pilot program of Navigation and Triage (NAT) at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court and other court locations within the Loddon Mallee region, providing support to other areas of Victoria as required. The role provides overall leadership to a multidisciplinary team consisting of team leaders, advanced case managers, case managers and administrative staff, as well as having responsibility for implementing practice improvements and quality assurance processes across the programs.
About you
- Proven management experience in leading diverse multidisciplinary teams and geographically spread operational sites, effectively promoting a client focused approach to the delivery and management of services.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment delivering solid leadership and emotional intelligence skills, with demonstrated ability to engage others, inspire and motivate people to influencing a positive and collaborative organisational culture.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge, skills and experience delivery of evidence-based interventions and/or case management support to individuals to engage in appropriate services in the community, including mental health, drug and alcohol, disability and other complexities.
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution skills, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
