They are currently undertaking a major development from 2019-2027 that will significantly increase exhibition and public program space in order to more substantially tell the stories of current and recent conflicts, operations, peacekeeping, and humanitarian missions. Working on this exciting project is an opportunity to be involved in a world class museum development at Australia’s number one tourist destination.

**Your new role**

Working closely with the Multimedia Project Manager, the Project Officer (PO) will manage all copyright permissions and licensing requirements for the gallery development project. The PO will also be required to research and prepare advice, information and reports on copyright licensing matters to facilitate informed planning, holistic management and decision making across all galleries. The PO will provide project coordination and administrative support services to the Gallery Development team.
- Under limited direction the PO will provide a range of project management support including:

- Co-ordination of project activities
- Assist with coordination and tracking of activities for externally sourced content
- Lead the coordination of copyright and licensing for graphics and audiovisual/ multimedia projects
- Maintenance of exhibitions lists and other coordination and tracking documentation.
- Coordinate and draft high level and/or complex correspondence, requests, reports, and submissions for copyright permissions and licences relating to the project.
- Administration including records management
- Coordinate and support procurement and contract management activities across the project
- Undertake project management support
- Research, consult on and raise issues and provide reports for senior project management.
- Preparation of agendas, papers, taking of minutes and coordination and follow up actions in relation to exhibition development and copyright coordination.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful the PO must build collaborative and inclusive relationships with both Memorial project staff and external stakeholders. The role liaises closely with the Exhibition project managers and Exhibition officers to deliver the priorities across all gallery development projects.

The PO will also be required to work across multiple Memorial systems including collection management (Museums Plus, Piction and MediaBin) and document management (SharePoint) systems on a daily basis.

The PO must be able to demonstrate:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate reports, project briefings and presentations in a complex project environment.
- Conceptual and analytical ability to make sound, rational decisions or recommendations based on the practical interpretation of relevant legislation, policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to handle multiple complex issues and the proven ability to prioritise competing interests to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including consultation and negotiation skills to effectively influence outcomes. The ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to meet exhibition brief requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations and to cultivate productive working relationships by communicating effectively to achieve results.
