**Manager of Industrial Relation**
- 6 month contract with possible extension
- Brisbane CBD location
**As the Manager of Industrial Relation, your key responsibilities will include**:
- Maintain the Transport Best Practice Industry Conditions (BPIC) document and other approved BPIC documents to ensure they remain aligned with relevant enterprise agreements, awards, legislation and market conditions.
- Prepare timely and well-researched advice on the Transport BPIC and related industrial relations matters.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of frameworks, process and practices that enable the coordinated implementation of the Transport BPIC to be fully integrated with other aspects of project planning, procurement, and delivery.
- Lead, foster and influence stakeholder relationships including internal clients, suppliers, industry, and public-sector bodies to ensure Department procurement policies and business improvements are optimised and fit for purpose.
- Lead the development and delivery of relevant strategic planning and internal business planning to foster continuous improvement and position Department as an active infrastructure delivery client.
**The successful applicant will demonstrate**:
- Proven ability to develop and embed operational policy, frameworks and processes.
- A sound understanding of procurement, contract management and project delivery in the civil construction sector.
- Extensive experience in industrial relations, including an understanding of Queensland trade union environment, relevant legislation and policy settings and the relevant enterprise agreements and awards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strategic mindset, capable of analysing complex issues, risks, and opportunities, and providing timely and well-researched advice to executive management.
