Are you passionate about helping people find safe and affordable housing? Do you have excellent communication skills and have a strong sense of empathy? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Housing Worker role for you
- Get to work alongside specialised support services to help tailor assistance and improve the lives of those facing difficult times across Melbourne. Proactively support tenants to sustain their tenancy and make a real difference in the community._

**Your accountabilities will include**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with renters while working closely with support services to support them to sustain their tenancy.
- Managing VCAT disputes. Including attending hearings, preparation and serving of breach of duty notices and liaising with Victoria Police as required.
- Conduct property inspections in accordance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.
- Identify potential tenants for vacant properties and process vacancies.
- Manage maintenance, repairs and cleaning of properties.
- Rent collection and arrears management.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data.

**Your skillsets/background**:

- Experienced or qualified in the Residential or Community Housing Sector.
- Qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as Community Services, Social Housing Management or something similar.
- Experience representing an organisation in a formal environment such as VCAT, or similar.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with people of diverse backgrounds.
- High level of administration, data entry, organisation and an eye for detail.
- A sound understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 and the ability to adhere to strict policies and procedures.
- Driver’s licence with reliable transport.
