**The Role**
Defence has commenced work on one of the most complex and challenging programs in ADF history, one that seeks to transform the ADF’s Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) capability into a fully networked, fifth-generation force better able to protect its airspace and vital assets from increasingly complex and lethal air and missile threats.

CASG ADS Branch will deliver four projects as part of the IAMD program:

- AIR6500 PH1 (Joint Air Battle Management System),
- AIR6502 PH1 (Medium Range Ground-Based Air Defence),
- AIR6503 PH1 (Advanced and Very High Speed Missile Defence) and
- AIR7004 PH1 (Theatre Air Control System).Collectively.

The IAMD Program will interconnect the many systems and sensors across multiple domains (air, land, sea, and space), current and future, into a collaborative engagement network.

In order to deliver on this requirement, the IAMD program seeks talented and committed Engineering Managers to play their part in this nationally significant and strategically critical undertaking. As the program and sovereign IAMD capability grows, so too will opportunities for career diversification. Operating in pivotal engineering leadership roles within program and project teams, IAMD Engineering Managers will be responsible for directing, coordinating and exercising functional authority in the delivery of engineering services and outputs. In discharging these responsibilities, they will be responsible to the Program Chief Engineer for ensuring their teams ongoing compliance with Program engineering governance and assurance plans and framework.
