About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Manager of Registires is primarily responsible for the management of Registry staff, particularly working with trainees to ensure rotations are completed and skills aquired for deputisation. The role is also responsible for managing vacancies and supporting staff both in progressing their careers and managing arising issues. The role is part of the Senior Management Team and is critical to contributing to the adequate staffing of all areas of the court.
About you
The ideal person for the role will have all the required technical skills and understanding required of a Registrar with extensive experience as well as verified leadership and organisational skills as well as empathy and an understanding of staff needs.
