**Position Summary**

The prime focus of the role will be to participate in controlling activities to ensure the best utilisation of the project’s resources, both capital and labour and minimising risk. As well as to ensure that risk management practices are in Compliance with the SSTOM Contract, meet the Client requirements and are in compliance with corporate instructions from SSTOM Partners.

**Key responsibilities**
- Provide expert H&S Risk Management advice and assistance to Joint Venture H&S Manager
- Develop and implement the project H&S Risk Governance Plan and procedures.
- Maintain a calendar of H&S Risk assessment workshops at both project and site level.
- Coach the line management, senior management and subcontractors on H&S risk matters.
- Facilitate H&S risk assessments at all levels.
- Provide and update H&S Risk inputs to the Project Level 0 risk register to support accurate risk modelling.
- Facilitate H&S risk review to identify trends, risks and promote communication and awareness of the key risks.
- Assist in establishing H&S risk mitigations and monitor their implementation and follow-up.
- Assist in H&S risk management audits
- Produce H&S risk-related reports as required in a timely manner to support the effective communication of risk status.
- Conduct training in risk management processes.
- Influence worker’s behaviours and culture regarding H&S risks.
- Maintain records and documents in accordance with SSTOM requirements.
- Develop a project Incident Management System Plan and procedures
- Carry out Incident Investigations in line with ICAM standard.
- Ensure Incidents are timely and duly notified, investigated and reported.
- Build and maintain an appropriate relationship with relevant Client and Subcontractors representatives.
- Maintain productive relationships with the government representatives and other key stakeholders.
- SSTOM Personnel should comply with the provisions under the Sustainability Management Plan and National Policy’s and Guidelines, to ensure onsite behaviours are consistent with our Sustainability obligations.
- SSTOM Personnel should comply with the provisions under the Workplace Relations Management Plan and the NSW Code and Guidelines to ensure onsite behaviours are consistent with our industrial relations obligations.

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- BS in Engineering/Science or other related tertiary qualification
- Risk management qualification preferred.
- White Card
- ICAM Lead Investigator

**Minimum Experience**
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in heavy infrastructure in a similar position
- Experience in the use of Microsoft, Risk and other project software
- Experience in facilitating risk workshops.
- Experience in developing and enhancing risk management practice

**Job-Specific Skills**
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk assessments techniques
- Ability to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, ideally with specific experience working with design and construct projects
- Well-developed time management, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
