Due to expected growth and a busy clinic, our client needs an experienced Medical Receptionist to work full time. You will play a major role in supporting the GP's, Nursing and Allied Health staff to ensure smooth running of the Practice. You will be required to work with the other team members and lead by example.

**You will ideally have the below skills***
- An excellent phone manner
- Excellent communication skills.
- A good understanding of computer software, **Best Practice **preferred but not essential
- Be passionate about providing excellent patient care
- Previous experience in a similar role within a General Medical

Practice
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and autonomously
- Accuracy, attention to detail, organisation, time management and problem solving skills.
- Adaptable, flexible and proactive approach to work
- Passionate about your role and take pride in seeing a practice grow and be successful
- Management and leadership experience
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Answering phone calls professionally and appropriately
- Reception (greeting patients, booking appointments and organising payments) and ensuring an effective flow of patients through the Practice
- Competently completing general/ clerical duties the practice
- Issuing patient invoices and receipts, attending to accounts, billing, Medicare and funds
- Banking - prepare and balance daily banking, petty cash
- Liaising with Medicare, GP's and other medical specialists
