About the role

Eastern Health are recruiting General Hospital Medical Officers (Year 3+) for the HMO year. These positions are suitable for doctors wishing to pursue a career in General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Women & Children, or those who have yet to decide on a career path. Rotations include Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Aged Care, General Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Mental Health. All HMOs will participate in the night/relieving roster.

Eastern Health welcomes junior medical staff into a supportive and stimulating workplace and our excellent postgraduate medical education unit is headed by a Director and supported by four site based Supervisors of Junior Doctor Training, two Medical Education Officers and an Administrative assistant. The unit provides both an intern and HMO education program, and includes a junior doctor podcast, grand rounds and unit specific education.
