Eastern Health offers extensive training opportunities in General Surgery and Specialty Surgery. Our pre-SET registrar rotations are approved by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).

About the role

These positions are suitable for Hospital Medical Officers (PGY 3+)/ Registrars interested in pursuing a career in Surgery.

**Possible rotations include**:
General Surgery/AGSU - Box Hill & Maroondah

General Surgery - Angliss & Blackburn Surgical Centre

General Surgery - Albury (6mth & 12mth available)

General Surgery - Bairnsdale (6mth & 12mth available)

Vascular Surgery - Box Hill

Colorectal Surgery - Maroondah

Breast & Endocrine Surgery - Maroondah

ICU

General Surgery - Nights

Relieving - General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, ENT, Urology, Rural

(8 rotations including formal teaching)

About you

**To be successful in this role you will possess**:
Current registration with AHPRA

Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

A strong commitment to high quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
