**The Role**
The Legal Practice Management Team provides practice management services and supports the Legal and Assurance Division in the delivery of quality legal services to the wider Department.
Reporting to the Practice Director the Assistant Practice Director is responsible for assisting with the running of the Legal & Assurance Division practice. The Assistant Practice Director along with the Practice Management team provides centralised procurement and recruitment services to the division; manages its finances and reporting functions and supports the Division in delivering a high quality and efficient legal service to the Department
**Skills and Capabilities**
We are seeking an individual with the following skills and capabilities:
- Reporting to an EL2, working with a small team to assist in ensuring high quality and efficient legal services.
- Managing competing priorities, and own workload noting frequent ad hoc tasks arise often
- Supervising and developing junior staff
- Building and sustaining effective relationships with stakeholders throughout the division and department
- Strong communications skills and an ability to work with colleagues both within the team and wider division
- Plan, manage and lead divisional projects and operational services.
- Develop, maintain and implement legal frameworks and strategies.
**The Opportunity**
This position is available to Ongoing APS employees as a temporary transfer at level or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 6 months.
