Exciting opportunity awaits** **to join our business in the newly created role of Tasmania State Manager. This role is crucial to the success of ALM. You will act as the ‘face of the business’ promoting ALM within the industry and solidifying strong relationships with our valued customer base. You will be a strategic leader, mentoring and guiding 4 direct reports to ensure their potential is reached.

**What you’ll do**
- Achieve Tasmanian sales and EBIT targets in line with budget. This includes action to monitor and review budgeted performance against BDM actual performance and make recommendations to positively affect performance.
- Oversee the warehouse and logistics performance of both the Hobart and Launceston warehouses.
- Communicating and partnering with the ALM Laverton DC to ensure consistency of best practices in warehouse staff safety and management
- Provide open and regular communication to both internal and external stakeholders. Maintain strong communication channels with our on premise customers and our industry partners.
- Champion and promote a strong team culture across the whole Tasmanian business.
- Partner with local Tasmanian based suppliers on the creation of go to market distribution and sales strategies
- Establish and maintain an intimate knowledge and understanding of the local market conditions, and current trading dynamics within Tasmania. Provide regular feedback through to the Southern States Leadership Team as required.

**What you’ll be**
- Team leadership experience / People Management / Coaching experience
- Selling and negotiation skills - a proving track record of dealing with suppliers and key accounts
- Time management and prioritisation skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to present to senior internal stakeholders
