**The Role**:
As a key member of the Racing Operations team, the Code Lead - Greyhounds is responsible for the operational execution of Greyhound racing and training activities across the state. This position is required to liaise with Club and Industry groups and industry participants on Greyhound racing matters, formulate the annual racing program, collaborate with key ORI personnel on integrity matters, and collaborate closely with the Asset & Facilities team and Track teams to ensure each Tasracing venue is performance ready. This position will also be integral in supporting the Racing Operations Manager to iterate Rules and Policies in accordance with industry developments and develop innovative and relevant racing initiatives and strategies to continue to evolve the Tasmanian greyhound racing product.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Extensive experience or understanding of the Greyhound racing industry
- High level demonstrable experience managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- General knowledge of the political, economic, legislative environment in which Tasracing operates
- Ability to manage time effectively and filter industry and participant contact to achieve the broader objectives of the role when required
- Able to lead and unite efforts towards a group owned solution to promote greyhound racing outcomes across broader projects and initiatives
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills to build authentic, collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, industry participants and relevant governing bodies
- Demonstrated communication skills including oral and written skills, and contemporary standard of computer literacy
- Ability to travel across the state for racing events, staff management and relationship development purposes, and manage workload outside of a traditional Monday to Friday work week

**About You**:

- Extensive knowledge of the greyhound rules of racing and an appreciation of the rules across all three codes of racing
- Understanding of the racing regulatory framework, at both state and national level and a general understanding of the wagering industry
- Demonstrated experience successfully overseeing complex operations or events
- Demonstrated managerial experience overseeing a diverse range of staff and providing effective and fair management to achieve race outcomes
- General understanding of Enterprise Agreements
- Current “C” class drivers’ licence
