The Member Service Support Officer is responsible for providing diverse, inter-related tasks to assist with the delivery of human resource advice and services to the SES NSW staff members and assists with membership administration for volunteers.

The NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is an emergency and rescue service made up almost entirely of volunteers and supported by a small staff contingent. NSW SES is a key influencer of other emergency service agencies and works closely with these partners to modernise and grow volunteering to save lives and protect communities.

While major responsibilities are for flood, storm operations and tsunamis, the NSW SES also provides the majority of general rescue effort in the rural parts of the state. This includes road accident rescue, vertical rescue, bush search and rescue, evidence searches (both metropolitan and rural), other forms of specialist rescue that may be required due to local threats, Urban Search and Rescue and Community First Response.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have experience with, or sound understanding of, employee conditions and entitlements.
- Have strong communication and administration skills to effectively work across a diverse group of members providing exceptional customer service outcomes.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing inter-related tasks.
- Be passionate about working within a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce comprised of staff and volunteers.
