**The Role**

In the role of State Manager NSW/ACT you will support the Bank’s growth within our Home Lending portfolio across the two states, and develop the broker partnerships business plan to achieve customer outcomes within the market. This is a key leadership role within the Broker team at Suncorp and will report into the Head of Broker Partnerships.

**What you’ll do in a snapshot**
- Develop the state broker partnerships business plan to drive strong home lending growth and customer outcomes in the market across NSW & ACT
- Work closely with the state team to develop key local relationships with aggregators, broker groups and brokers
- Develop and lead the business development team ensuring performance targets are achieved and ensure a positive culture continues across the team
- Represent the Bank within the Mortgage Broker industry in order to maximise the visibility of the Suncorp Bank brand in NSW & ACT at industry and/or business events
- Build a culture of cross business collaboration to enhance the customer experience and share customers across business units
- Create the link between the strategy to ensure the team can deliver on agreed parameters and support high performance and accountability
- Be a positive contributor to the Broker Partnerships leadership team and work closely with peers to continually improve the performance of the business

**What you’ll bring**
- Tertiary qualification in Business or equivalent (mandatory)
- Postgraduate qualification in Business or equivalent (desired)
- 10 years in depth commercial knowledge and understanding of the Banking or Financial Service market (mandatory)
- 7 years experience in sales (mandatory)
- 7 years leadership experience (mandatory)
- 5 years experience in mortgage broker industry (mandatory)
- Exceptional relationship management skills
- Lead, coach and develop capability of team members, ensuring scorecards and professional development plans are created and executed
- Ability to develop solutions and courses of action and recommend solutions by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data, and determine cause-effect relationships
- Ability to understand complex home buying scenarios and the ability to influence key stakeholders
- Very strong home buying credit skills
