**About Wolston Farmhouse & National Trust of Australia Queensland**

The historic landmark, previously known as Wolston House, is situated in a rural setting dating back to 1852 '“ located a short drive Northwest of the CBD. Wolston Farmhouse was the first property to be taken care of by the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) & is The Centre of Excellence for School Excursion Programs, and a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents**:to protect, conserve, and celebrate the Environmental, Built and Cultural heritage of our State**.

As we work to develop our education charter and continue to develop the site as a learning playground for future generations, we are seeking a motivated and passionate **Casual **Site Coordinator** to ensure a valuable visitor and student experience and to manage the property and volunteer teams at this special heritage site.

**About the Role**

As our highly organised Site Coordinator you will provide a positive and memorable visitor experience and lead our dedicated property volunteers. As a collaborative people manager, you will guide and support the volunteers to deliver a knowledgeable and valuable experience '“ with a focus on developing our excursion market to provide a valuable heritage learning experience.

Supported by NTAQ Heritage Corporate Services Teams and reporting to the Head of Heritage and Environmental Services, as Site Coordinator you will work collaboratively to introduce new business ideas and streams, support marketing the site, and coordinate volunteer activities including training and recruitment. In this busy role, you will also provide day-today support of operating the Heritage Site including coordination of property maintenance and being an active part of the education experience.

As a highly autonomous individual, and confident public speaker, you will actively engage with visitors, local community, Council and Education groups in a friendly and helpful manner to deliver efficient and friendly service and through storytelling of our conservation and environmental endeavours.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in tourism/hospitality and/or the education sector with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders. Other key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

- Passion for tourism and providing exceptional customer service
- Experience managing a small team & a supportive leadership style
- Experience preparing financial reports (desirable) and further training will be provided
- Good written and verbal communication skills & presentation to work in a tourism environment
- An interest in local history of the area & background in education is desirable
- Must hold or be able to hold a Blue Card & First Aid Certification
