Our Youth Development Team is looking for a passionate and skilled person to become part of our fantastic team to deliver programs, activities and events for young people. We are looking for someone who will;
- Be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people
- Enjoy working in a team, can build strong relationships, and are open to the opinions of others.
- Have a welcoming and engaging manner when dealing with young people, their guardians and our community.
- Be able to “think outside the box” and be flexible in the delivery of services to meet our community’s and young people’s evolving expectations.
- Have the ability to work outside of office hours on a regular basis.

**What can you bring to the team?**

You will work as part of a team to engage, support and supervise young people across a range of recreational, confidence building and leadership programs and events.

To be successful you will have:

- Progress towards or have obtained a qualification in youth work, social work or similar discipline
- Strong ability to relate to a diverse range of young people
- Experience working with young people.
- Understanding of Aboriginal culture and experience mentoring Aboriginal youth (Desirable)
- Skills and experience in skate, music, art or other specific youth sub-cultures (Desirable)
- Experience in Social Media planning within an organisational context (Desirable)
- Administrative and program planning skills including ability to navigate various software systems as a requirement of Local Government
- Approved Working with Children Card / Current National Police Clearance.
- Current C (unrestricted) Licence.
- LR License with F extension (Desirable).

**The finer details**

This permanent part-time offer is a contract of 30 hours per fortnight. This specifies the minimum contract hours; however, it is likely that regular additional hours above this contract may be offered. This Level 3 position, attracts a pro-rata salary range of $67,472 - $72,970 gross per annum ($34.146 - $ 36.92 per hour) dependant on qualifications and experience.
