We are looking for a sales professional who will be responsible for achieving their sales targets through strong collaboration and relationship building over the phone and having face to face meetings. The ultimate aim will be to build long term partnerships which enable our business partners to meet their growth objectives.

**The role**
- Pro-actively engage with existing and new customers in the Brisbane, Gold Coast and wider Queensland region to drive business through cold/warm calling and finding new partners through the vendor network.
- You will engage into the accounts and develop strong working relationships at every level of the targeted organisation, across particular individuals in those organisations.
- Collaborate with field sales representative for territory quota achievement for the large accounts.
- Maintaining up-to-date and complete information in the CRM is a must.
- Be the central point of management for customer requirements and be able to escalate any issues/problems to your manager as needed.
- You will manage and lead the deals you own and close opportunities through accurate forecasting, account strategy, and planning.
- Generate sales leads and increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns.

**To succeed in this role, you will need to**:

- Gain within the required timeline, certifications related to all the major technologies you are selling or representing.
- Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Tech Data vendors, technologies, competitors and industry trends.
- Be super responsive and enthusiastic in calling and speaking to customers and meet the KPI's on calls and meetings per week. Tech Data believes that being proactive and having regular conversations with our customers is the only way to promote our name in the market and to drive sales.
- Whilst IT sales and IT distribution experience is a good to have, it is not essential. We are keen to hear from you if you have worked in a face to face sales environment including retail and other sales roles. Key to your success is being able to be a hunger for sales, being a focused relationship builder and having a strong desire to learn about new (IT) products and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to seek and secure new business in a sales environment.
- Problem solving, dispute resolution, an ability to work both autonomously, and in a collaborative team environment.
- You'll also need outstanding communication skills, organisation and time management skills.
