Head of People Operations

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a diverse set of functions encompassing People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, People Analytics, Systems, and Facilities. As the Head of People Operations, you will drive the ongoing effort to enhance and implement improvements in our processes, policies, and practices across these areas. Collaborating closely with the People Partner team and Performance & Reward, your mission is to ensure an exceptional experience for our internal customers. This involves delivering innovative solutions in planning, analytics, and technology, enabling our People team and business leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, People and Culture. You will form part of the People leadership team and will be expected to collaborate across the People Team and into the business.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
People Leadership- Lead a diverse team across a number of specialist functions to deliver an outstanding internal customer experience.- Ensure a collaborative cross functional team effort to improve processes and practices.- Ensure risk is managed by appropriate cross skilling of team members.
Functional Leadership- Oversight of the Payroll function for LFS, escalating issues as required through either the Head of Performance and Reward or EGM P&C.- Oversight of the People Operations function. Including documentation governance and ownership of our self-service platforms.- Oversight of overarching people systems activities and landscape. Providing support, managing escalations, vendors and total costs.- Oversight of metrics and analytics for all required reporting, including to the Board, RemCo, ELT and Business and Business Partners.- Ensure the security of our employee’s data and information, and the timely and accurate processing of all information and payroll.- Oversight of the Talent Acquisition function- Oversight of Facilities, ensuing the Workplace Operations Manager is supported in their activities.- Management of key risks that sit within the function.
Strategic- Design and delivery of the Technology Roadmap for the People team, and associated ownership of our People Technology.- Tracking of people costs and operating model work- Develop analytics strategy to support solving client problems and predicting trends. Analyse people trends and metrics, resulting in actions - and support future workforce planning strategies and requirements.
Continuous Improvement / Project Management:
- Integration role between P&C BPs other parts of People team. Work collaboratively with the wider People Team (Business Partnering, Learning & OD, Communications, Performance & Reward) to align and deliver on our strategic priorities.- Supports cyclical planning of activities (including D&I, Talent, Performance, and Reward).- Project Manage key project work and initiatives across the P&C team.- Via analysis of our query intake metrics and self-service usage, determine priorities for process continuous improvement to drive productivity in team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong partnerships across the business and within P&C team.- Ensure smooth transition of work between Business Partnering and Operations.- Ability to commercially manage vendors and get the most value possible from the relationship.

- Experience in leading cross functional teams.- Experience across (ideally more than one) Payroll, Talent Acquisition, HR Systems, Policy Management, Process Improvement, Operations, Facilities.- Stakeholder management skills, dealing with various levels of leaders.- Ability to build trusting and effective relationships quickly.- Innovative thinking, challenge the status quo.- Continuous Improvement mindset.- Disciplined execution and project management skills.- Great time management and ability to prioritise- Proven ability to communicate to all levels of audiences.
