About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Warehouse and Distribution Team based at North Ryde, NSW Offices. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.

**You will be responsible for**:
Overseeing all aspects of warehousing services (capturing receiving, storage, manufacturing WIP and despatching). In addition to this you will focus on identifying and implementing process improvement across the warehousing department.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Maintain a safe workplace and environment and comply with company Quality Systems.
- Liaise with customers and coordinate internal resources to ensure service levels and demands are met or exceeded.
- Ensure movement of parts and goods to customers through liaison and cooperation with project staff, QA and management whilst maintaining inventory accuracies.
- Provide leadership in the workplace, ensure decisions are timely and communicated clearly.
- Continually improve current work practices to remove all non-value added activities, providing a fast, flexible & effective service within a "Lean" & centralised environment.
- Initiate recommendations for improvement of company processes and standard procedures to improve safety, reduce costs, increase productivity and the quality of the product delivered.
- Manage the performance of warehousing based KPIs in relation to Quality, Cost & Schedule.

About YOU
- Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (essential).
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role (essential).
- Current Workcover Forklift Licence - Class LF (essential).
- Current Drivers Licence - Class C (essential).
- Knowledge and understanding of warehousing/logistics (essential).
- Previous experience in warehousing working in inventory management and leading and managing a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
- Experience with Chain Of Responsibility (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with Known Consignee Scheme and holder of ASIC White Card (preferred but not essential).
