**About the role**:
As the Aboriginal Heritage Coordinator, your key responsibility will be driving the delivery of regional operation plans and other organisational objectives by providing technical specialist advice on the identification and protection of aboriginal cultural heritage, supporting the organisation in working within their responsibilities under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006. You will be expected to provide strategic advice to support our Managing Country Together Directorate, responding in an appropriate and timely way on issues that affect cultural heritage values in the region.

**We're looking for someone with**:

- Extensive experience in the field of Aboriginal cultural heritage protection
- Detailed knowledge of Aboriginal cultural heritage legislation, governance and policies in Victoria
- Experience in engagement and partnership-building with Traditional Owners

**About the branch**:
The Managing Country Together Directorate supports Parks Victoria to work effectively with Traditional Owners to manage cultural landscapes across the State. The Directorate is taking a lead role in helping Parks Victoria to prepare for a rapidly changing operating environment.
