**About the role**:
The commercial manager will be a key member of the project team and is required to assess and control contractual risk and entitlement whilst providing contract management support to the project team.

**You will be responsible to**:

- Ensuring appropriate understanding and administration of the contract to preserve Company rights and entitlements at all times
- Establish systems and registers to ensure timely recognition, submission and certification of claims in accordance with contract requirements
- Assist the Project Director with quantification and submission of monthly progress claims
- Assist the Project Director with internal cost reporting and forecasting, including monthly presentation to the board.
- Provide guidance to the project team on contract adherence, change management and record keeping
- Guide the dispute resolution process for any disputes that may arise during project execution
- Work collaboratively with the project team, including our Client, to continuously identify opportunities to innovate and improve current commercial practices

**About you**:
**To be considered for this position, you will have**:

- University degree in law, engineering, quantity surveying or construction management
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in administration of large ITC contracts
- Proven experience in analysis, administration and negotiation of contractual risk and entitlement
- Demonstrable experience and success in results-oriented dispute resolution
- A good understanding of construction contract law in Australia and Australian standard forms of contract.
- Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and clear, definitive communication.
