About the RACGP
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practitioners (GPs) in our growing cities and throughout rural and remote Australia. For more than 60 years, we’ve supported the backbone of Australia’s health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.

We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other training pathways. We train GPs to deliver quality, whole-person care to patients across Australia, support their ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country.

About you
As our GP Medical Educator - Assessment Development, you’ll have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to consult, negotiate and influence a wide range of people within the RACGP, as well as external bodies. Currently working as a GP in a General Practice environment, you’ll also have experience writing and reviewing assessment contents to support educational programs. To thrive in this role, you’ll also have:
experience in general practice assessment and program development
understanding of RACGP Assessment
good analytical ability, organisational skills, time management and adaptability
high level of initiative, conceptual and analytical thinking
About the opportunity
Reporting to the National Clinical Lead, Assessment, you’ll develop and review RACGP assessments through quality assurance processes, blueprinting and effective content management. Liaising with Fellows nationwide, you’ll support content development, review and version control. Partnering with the National Clinical Lead (NCL) and National Assessment Advisor (NAA), you’ll develop pre and post assessment resources and provide training and presentations on core assessment activities. Some other responsibilities include:
working closely with the NCL/NAA, develop RACGP exams/assessments using blueprints, including practice, demonstration, and training materials
providing quality assurance support to each of the assessment quality assurance processes
supporting the work of the NCL/NAA
