**Role: Strategic Planning Officer**

**Start Date: 3-month contract (with strong possibility of extension)**

**Hours/day: 8**

**Hours/week: 40**

**Pay Rate: $68-$75 per hour plus Super**

**Essential Requirements**:

- Strategic planning experience particularly in State, LEP or DCP amendments or precinct planning
- Minimum of 3-5 years of planning experience

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Planning experience within Western Sydney and, if possible the Western Sydney Aerotropolis
- Qualifications in master planning or other greenfield development area.

**The roles will be involved in either the Central (Western) or the Metro West team’s technical needs relating to**:

- Leading and providing general planning work for the team responsible for implementing the Western Sydney Aerotropolis planning framework
- Supporting the role of the Western Sydney Technical Assurance Panel (TAP) Secretariat, including reviewing technical reports and providing advice to the relevant manager and, if required, attending meetings
- Working collaboratively with State agencies, councils and other key stakeholders throughout the Aerotropolis TAP process and in implementing the Aerotropolis planning framework
- If capacity allows, supporting other project-based work within the broader teams
- General tasks including project and contract management, chairing meetings and preparing and editing reports, letters and briefing notes etc.
