The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) has been the leading Australian provider of engineering and IT education and research for over 150 years. **About the Role**
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) are seeking to appoint three new Research Officers.
- Research Officer - Costing and Pricing
- Research Officer - Research Impact
- Research Officer - Medical and Infrastructure

Working within the FEIT Research Services team these positions will support the faculty’s participation and success in competitive grant schemes, as well as interdisciplinary, research and enterprise initiatives. Currently the key focus areas for thes positions include major medical and industry grant schemes such as the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), NHMRC, and ARC LP and LIEF. This role will increase the impact and competitiveness of proposals in alignment with FEIT’s Research and growth targets.

Responsibilities include:

- Leading the planning and organisation of, seminars, workshops, academic mentoring programs.
- Supporting FEIT’s participation and success in grant programs (internal/ARC/NHMRC) and large bids through effective and efficient planning, promotion and coordination.
- Supporting FEIT’s participation and success in other major grant (internal/ARC/NHMRC).
- Supporting the team with the coordination of academic research induction programs.

**_Research Officer - Costing and Pricing_**
- Developing and implementing training for Costing and Pricing of research contracts and grants across FEIT using the University tool and FEIT’s Costing and Pricing Policy.
- Working with the other Research Officers (within FEIT) to align budgetary training with academic research induction programs for new academic staff.
- Reviewing and coordinating submission of budgets for research contract and grant submissions, particularly those researchers with large & complex budgets or who are new to FEIT.

**_Research Officer - Medical and Infrastructure_**
- Supporting FEIT’s participation and success in Medical Research grant programs (NHMRC/MRFF) and Infrastructure and industry grant programs (ARC/CRC/internal) through effective promotion and coordination including preparation of communications, delivering workshops and providing advice on compliance and budgets to applicants.
- Developing communications for several audiences including medical research funding opportunities for medical research academics and Infrastructure and Industry grants for general audiences; and developing documents and templates to support grant writing.
- Maintaining and providing content for the Research team’s intranet and SharePoint pages related to Medical Research grant opportunities and Infrastructure and Industry grants.

**_Research Officer - Research Impact_**
- Developing and promoting opportunities for FEIT academics to develop an understanding and articulate the impact of their research. Assisting the ADR with research impact projects in FEIT.
- Maintaining and providing content for the Research team’s intranet and SharePoint pages.
