An exciting opportunity currently exists for enthusiastic **Hospital Medical Officers** to join our **Medical Workforce** from **June 2024.**

**About the department**:
Austin Health is one of Victoria's largest health care providers, comprising Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and

Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Hospital as well as community based health services. The Medical Workforce Unit provides Doctors in

Training (DiT) to the health service to ensure wards and services are staffed appropriately to provide patient care under the

guidance of Consultant medical staff. Our DiT's provide care to patient's across most medical disciplines, including General and Specialty Medicine, General Surgery, Specialty Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Aged Care Medicine.

**About the role**:
Current opportunities are available at HMO2 and HMO3 level in our Medical, Surgical and General streams.

These roles are available to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is delivered safely in a team
- oriented and stimulating work environment. You will be required to work collaboratively with patients, their families and caregivers, and the wider team to ensure that patient goals are achieved. Roster preferences can still be submitted.

**To be successful in this role you must**:

- Demonstrate a commitment to Austin Health values
- Have a minimum of two years' post graduate experience as a medical practitioner.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care.
- Have abilities to collaborate and work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Have or be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - those eligible will be assisted through the registration process if necessary.
