They also felt that it would be beneficial if there was someone who could consult with event organisers about how best provide this type assistance in order better serve their customers."

Vita First Aid management are driving change by creating standards that can't be compromised, such as engaging professional salaried staff and not volunteers. They also provide detailed risk analysis for event organisers to make sure they know what resources will be needed at their next outing or festival; using operational medical practices used in state ambulance systems across Australia. Finally an important point is making sure there's always someone on duty who has experience managing large-scale events like these which require adequate teams managed by an experienced commander ready 24/7

Position Summary:
Key Requirements:

- Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedural guidelines that have legal implications, for example, ensure documentation conforms to legal requirements

Job Responsibility:
**Clinical**
- Perform clinical duties within required level of clinical competency according to best available evidence
- Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance
- Duties include triage, wound management, health assessments for target group of individuals.
- Assist Healthcare Professionals with clinical procedures
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation

**Patient Services**
- Assist with triage, data management, diagnostic services, networking with other providers, planning & management of patient care and patient advocacy
- Refer patients to the appropriate Health Professional for further assessments when necessary

**Improvement of patient health outcomes**
- Conduct preventative/screening procedures
- Assist with patient education and community health promotion activities

**Equipment and Supplies**
- Ensure sterilisation and maintenance of clinical equipment as required
- Maintain stocks of clinical supplies, including correct storage (such as medications), removal of out-of-date stock and ordering supplies
- Provide input in purchasing relevant clinical equipment and supplies
- Share responsibilities as directed by the infection control co-ordinator and cold chain maintenance co-ordinator and with other staff

**Compliance**
- Maintain awareness of current and new legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including infection control, sterilisation, hazardous materials & safe handling/disposal of medical waste, records management, OHS, and accreditation
- Ensure relevant personnel are kept informed and changes are made to systems and procedures as required

**Professional**
- Act within the service code of ethics & appropriate level of clinical competence at all times
- Maintain awareness of current evidence and research on clinical practices and inform/educate other practice staff
- Change systems and procedures to ensure compliance with best available evidence as applicable

**Safety**
- Consistently be aware of safety requirements and comply with them
- Assess dangerous situations and if safe to do so assist with evacuation procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with emergency services and/or 000 when deemed necessary

**KPI's**
- Maintain up to date with all policies and procedures
- Complete training sessions relevant to maintain clinical compliance as required under Department of Heath legislation's
- Liaise with clients professionally and promote/refer Vita First Aid services where appropriate
