About the role

Take the next step in your career by developing your skills in psychology, public health, social sciences, implementation science or a related field. Y ou will have the opportunity to work across many different research projects exploring donor health, behaviour, motivations and attitudes to blood donation; the social context of donation, and donor health and wellbeing. The primary function of your role will be to coordinate participant recruitment and data collection by virtually working with staff in blood donation centres and other researchers in Lifeblood. You will also get the opportunity to work across other donor health and behaviour projects.

**Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for**:
Honours degree, or equivalent work experience, in biomedical sciences, health sciences, epidemiology, public health, psychology or a related field.

Previous experience in a research role that included project co-ordination and participant recruitment

Experience in the analysis of quantitative data, including familiarity statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R or equivalent).

Experience with electronic data capture systems e.g. REDCap, Qualtrics or a similar survey tool.

Ability to contribute to research projects, under direction of a Manager.

Ability to engage with a wide range of individuals, including research participants, other researchers, internal or external stakeholders, and external collaborators etc.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining high quality standards.

Previous research presentations, conference and/or journal publications (desirable).

Previous Biobank coordination skills, including consenting, coordination of sample collections, data collection and collation (desirable).

This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 12-months with a possibility of extension. You will report directly to a senior member of the Clinical & Donor Research Team.

This role can be based from our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with some working from home flexibility available.
