We are currently recruiting for an Events Help Desk Officer to liaise and provide administration support to our internal teams in the lead up to and during the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

**About the Role**

This role requires a strong focus on providing high levels of customer service to various internal teams. You will provide strong office support which includes data entry, answering our Help Desk telephone and two way radio calls.

Flexibility and adaptability is paramount in this role.

The 2023 Sydney Royal Easter Show runs 6 April 2023 - 17 April 2023.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:

- Proven experience in a customer service role
- Previous experience in call centre or receptionist role, highly advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience using two-way radios preferred but not essential
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be reliable, flexible and adaptable
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to be organised and be able to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage and address clients concerns in an appropriate and timely manner
- Have superior customer service skills
- Have excellent communication & interpersonal skills,
- Be energetic and committed
- Have an outstanding work ethic and impeccable grooming
- Be able to work weekdays, weekends and late nights
- Have a positive “can do” attitude
- Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia.
- Be willing to undertake a police clearance check if required

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) organises events, and competitions, acts as a guardian for the state’s agricultural heritage, celebrates Australia’s achievements in agriculture and works to promote the viability of rural communities by ensuring that Australia remains a thriving and innovative agricultural producer.

We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
