Develop, implement and evaluate plans for the future learning and development programs for the leadership and management needs of the department and provide advice on the usability of such programs.
- Manage internal stakeholder and external consultancy relationships to ensure the delivery of leadership and management programs throughout the state.
- Provide strategic and authoritative advice to senior management on matters in relation to Corporate Learning pathway, staff performance development and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce development.
- Initiate and develop strategic partnerships in order to efficiently deliver a broad range of learning development priorities.
- Prepare and coordinate submissions, reports, Board papers, governance committee briefs, executive briefs and other correspondence on departmental learning and development issues.
- Provide input into and participate in, learning and development, governance structures, including sub-committees for leadership and performance development.
- Manage a learning management system and support the team in providing system support and timely data analysis and learning reports.
- Provide advice regarding emerging issues, critical paths, project linkages and strategic opportunities and challenges.
- Participate in the strategic planning and execution of strategic plans within the department, especially across workforce capability, leadership, management, supervision and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce development.
- Manage the financial, physical and human resources of your area and promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the implementation of management practices and policies, including performance management, equal employment opportunity [anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
