Provide leadership and management to the business support team in the development, implementation and review of systems and processes to ensure the efficient functioning of administration in the office. Develop and maintain networks within the department and across government to support the delivery of high quality executive services to the Chief Practitioner. Maintain high level liaison with, and a thorough knowledge of the responsibilities and expectations of, the offices of the Chief Practitioner, the Director-General and Minister. Lead projects which impact the operations of Office of the Chief Practitioner including establishment and management of governance and risk registers. Provide confidential support and advice to the Chief Practitioner and Office of the Chief Practitioner Leadership Team on key issues pertaining to Child and Family Services. Support Office of the Chief Practitioner staff through provision of advice to ensure they are able to perform their corporate governance and compliance obligations including responses to ministerial and departmental correspondence and enquiries. Oversee and manage all documentation and processes relating to the Annual Report and Estimates. Ensure effective management and monitoring of the office's budget and staff establishment in accordance with statutory responsibilities, government priorities and departmental policies and procedures. Plan, organise and manage the team's responsibilities, including fostering a professional environment to encourage commitment, ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement.
