**Venue Manager | Restaurant & Bar | Docklands**

**The Company**

My Client has well known and award winning venues spanning across both Melbourne and Queensland. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Venue Manager to take the lead in their Docklands Venue. This venue combines imaginative Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine with lavish hospitality, luxurious surroundings, and a world-class drink selection.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, The Venue Manager a vital part of this venue's leadership team You will be responsible for the planning, organisation, direction, and coordination of employees and resources of the Venue ensuring the efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages. Your main responsibilities will include:

- Prepare employee rosters and management of time sheets
- Management of daily takings and till reconciliations
- Recruitment, performance management and development of employees
- Oversee of service, ensuring that high standards are consistently met and assisting the team in a hands-on capacity during peak periods or as needed
- Ensure table allocations and appropriate levels of stock are done ahead of time
- Manage the arrival and service of noted VIPS to the venue
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food / beverage quality and service,
- Oversee the receipt of stock deliveries, verifying contents & quality
- Work closely with the Head Chef, Bar Manager and Restaurant Manager to effectively promote menus and wine / beverages to complement menu items and train front of house staff for the presentation to customers
- implement activities and schemes in an effort to maximise sales and profit
- Organise marketing activities, such as promotional events, discount schemes and advertising
- Ensure that the company complies with requirements for quality management, Hygiene, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), environmental policies and general duty of care.
- Ensure good safety practices of employees

**What you bring to the role**

To be successful in this role, you'll need exceptional customer service and people management skills, coupled with experience operating in a similar role and calibre of venue.
- Diploma in Hospitality or equal experience
- Current RSA
- Proven skills and experience with POS and common Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to work well under pressure
