About the role

Fabric, our inhouse digital banking platform, builds reusable services consumed by value streams across the entire ANZ Plus business. Facilitating all business requirements including connectivity, Fabric is composed of several capability areas with different areas of focus, which collectively aim to deliver a robust, low-latency and resilient network of services required to run a digital bank.

At ANZ Plus, we follow agile principles, working with a mix of complex orchestration across multiple value streams, services and other partners with varying levels of agile maturity. We are looking for people who have a deep understanding and experience with agile delivery and can help interpret the specific delivery intent and form an approach that helps us reach great delivery outcomes.

What could your day look like?

Manage the strategic delivery dependencies and align synergies across multiple squads - this includes scope, develop & track progress on plans, support releases, end to end risk management and understanding dependencies
Whilst not a direct people leadership role you will lead and enable a diverse team(s) consisting of analysts, engineers and testers
Utilise data and insights to monitor performance and continuously improve speed and accuracy of deliverables
Drive E2E delivery by managing build/test/deploy of dependent components into non-prod, and prod, activation
Kick off deliverable with team for shared understanding of big picture (end state, MVP, MVP+1 etc)
Assess and assist with impact of prioritising conflicting work in line with top level goals for the program
Continuously capture and monitor any risks or issues that need to be resolved, including actions for mitigating these
Ensure work is broken down under deliverable in JIRA that creates transparency and clarity for team
Ensure transparency of progress to done for all teams rolling up to the deliverable.
Maintaining JIRA hygiene under the deliverable to make sure we have the right work, owners, status and dates
Facilitate showcases to present the deliverable as it comes to life and use feedback to iterate anything useful.
What's in your toolkit?

Curious and creative you have a good understanding of software engineering, test and or development. Any risk, controls or compliance knowledge will be handy in our regulated environment.

Project management or agile delivery experience with a pragmatic, sensible approach to delivery
Extensive stakeholder engagement and influencing in order to gain support for or agreement to an idea, concept and shared clarity
Leadership, coaching and influencing skills - our ADLs are highly visible and require a cool head and an understated influencing style
Microservices (API) architecture knowledge will help
Commerciality and technology curious - you’re across emerging trends and innovations and like to test and learn
While not a prerequisite, experience in digital or financial services will help.
