Based in the Geelong region, the growing Barwon South West clinical team deliver all offence-specific assessments and treatment pathways offered through Forensic Intervention Services to service users accommodated at four medium and maximum security facilities located in the Barwon Prison Precinct:

- Barwon Prison (Barwon)
- Marngoneet Correctional Centre (Marngoneet)
- Marngoneet's Karreenga annexe (Karreenga)
- Western Plains Correctional Centre (Western Plains) - our new state of the art facility opening soon

Comprised of a Manager, Clinical Team Leaders, Senior Clinicians Practice, Clinicians, and AOD Practitioners this expanding multidisciplinary team collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as custodial staff, prison leadership and a wide variety of mental health and disability service providers to deliver our therapeutic clinical services.

What you'll do
As a clinician, you will build on your existing experience as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment
Working within the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model, you'll deliver a wide range of individualised services including:

- Comprehensive assessments including risk assessments.
- Clinical interviews to determine appropriate treatment pathways.
- Treatment interventions employing evidence-based assessment tools.
- Treatment programs involving individual and group sessions.
- Preparing treatment plans, treatment reports, and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Clinicians are also required to travel as part of their role.
Eligibility
To apply, you'll need to hold, or be eligible for, one of the following:

- General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
- Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
