The City has four libraries in Thornlie, Gosnells, Southern River and a brand new library in Beckenham. The Library Service is part of the Leisure and Culture Branch that includes the City's aquatic and recreation centre - Leisure World, Don Russell Performing Arts Centre and Heritage Services, including the Wilkinson Homestead Museum.

**About this position**

The City is seeking a dynamic leader to join a team of four Coordinators who lead a dedicated team of library staff and shape the future of library services in the City of Gosnells. Each Coordinator is responsible for the management of a library branch and leadership of a portfolio. The four portfolios are Library Collections, Library Operations, Library Programs and Customer Experience. There are regular opportunities to rotate branch and portfolio.

This position will initially be based at the Knowledge Centre Library and will be responsible for the day to day running of the branch in addition to leading the Customer Experience portfolio across the City's four libraries, which includes the OPAC and library web pages, memberships, marketing, customer service standards and measuring satisfaction.

**What we are looking for**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A qualification in library/information services
- Experience in change management
- Experience leading and supervising a team
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Strong customer service and stakeholder relations skills

**Essential requirements**
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in Library, Information Management or equivalent
- Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old)
- Current driver's licence

Experience in community services is not essential but will be highly regarded.
