**SUMMARY OF THE ROLE**:You will be a valued team member of the Mercy Mental Health Community Teams. A recovery focused multi disciplinary team operating in the Cities of Wyndham and Hobson's Bay. With your team's support you will engage the carers of our clients to positively support their loved one's recovery.
- Permanent full-time role - 5 days a week
- 08.30 - 5pm with an ADO
- Based across 2 sites - Wyndham and Saltwater Clinics (working alternating weeks)

**ABOUT YOU**:
- _Have experience in working as a carer peer support worker in a mental health setting_
- _ Experience as a carer of someone who has/had additional co-occuring challenges such as drug/alcohol abuse, legal issues, physical health matters, social issues such as homelessness_
- _ Flexible and adaptable to work across 2 clinics_
- _ Able to prioritise and work within professional boundaries._
- _ Enthusiatic about seeking support for carers and be a strong advocate for their needs and the needs of their loved ones_
- _ Be a part of a multidisciplinary team and offer a voice for lived experience whithin team meetings._
**ABOUT US**:
- Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
