Brisbane, Australia Entain Full time

**About the Role**

In this highly influential position, as the Head of Corporate Development, you will play a crucial and hands-on role in the corporate investment activity and broader corporate development at Entain Australia. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work across key merger and acquisition opportunities, as well as strategic investments, whilst being a driving force in identifying growth opportunities, evaluating potential partnerships, and creating significant value by making business-led initiatives happen.

At Entain, the customer is at the center of what we do. Our Corporate Development team is focused on creating more opportunities for the business to engage with customers in different ways.

In this role, you will take ownership of a broad remit, critically leading new business opportunities such as license tenders, corporate partnerships, M&A, and a range of other corporate development initiatives. As a growth-orientated business, this is a unique opportunity to join a leading industry brand at an increasingly exciting time in the business.

**About You**

As the key point person for all corporate-led development and M&A opportunities, your contribution will be integral in the progression of the Entain Australia business. You will need to take ownership of projects and work with a range of stakeholders to progress opportunities from ideation to completion.

Timeliness and the production of high-quality outputs are key indicators of your success. Above all else in this role is accuracy and attention to detail, under what will often be high-pressure situations with tight timelines that are often out of your control.

Given the nature of the role, you will be amongst the first to know about any opportunity we are contemplating and therefore confidentiality and sensitive handling of information and issues is paramount.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working closely with the CEO and CFO, you will have overall management responsibility for new corporate development business opportunities;
- Liaise, as required, with external stakeholders such as investment banks, accounting and legal firms, and other corporate advisors;
- Develop detailed financial and valuation analysis, including preparation and review of financial models for all new business opportunities;
- Provide support on a range of materials required for internal processes, such as opportunity overviews, business cases, and required papers for senior stakeholders and the Board;
- Develop, where applicable, external pitch documentation, including responding to RFIs and preparing formal powerpoint presentations;
- Contribute to a wide range of execution matters that arise with M&A transactions; and
- Across all areas, deliver results in a timely manner and with exceptional attention to detail.

**Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity is ideal, with a strong financial analysis, valuation, deal structuring, and negotiation background;
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess strategic fits of potential corporate development and investment opportunities;
- Previous experience interacting with senior executives, and external advisors, as well as leading a team of professionals;
- Excellent corporate investment exposure at a Senior level - aligning business opportunities with organisational goals; and
- Ideally, you possess a deep understanding of the Corporate Development (M&A) landscape with a strong industry network.

As a global employer, Entain is committed to providing a safe, fun, and inclusive culture where our people feel like they truly belong. We are a multicultural business that values, celebrates, and respects individual differences, so whatever your sexuality, gender, gender identity, ability, age, race, religion, or belief, you will have a voice here, and the space to do your best work. Our diverse internal networks provide support for you to express your views and make a positive difference.
