**The Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of the Environmental team dedicated to playing their part to enable nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

In your new role as the Environmental Advisor, you will assist in the monitoring and updating of the Environmental Management System (EMS) ensuring it meets ISO standards as well as updating processes and procedures in line with Legislation changes.

An all-rounder you will work with the business to develop processes to collate environmental and sustainability performance data while providing advice and guidance to stakeholders on environmental issues and legislative and regulatory obligations.

You will have a focus on ongoing continuous improvement and be able to effectively influence and manage expectations at all levels. A self-starter, you will thrive in a busy and ever changing, fast paced environment.

**About you**
- Degree in an environmental discipline.
- Current Driver’s licence.
- Extensive experience in environmental management in an industrial situation.
- Demonstrated ability in auditing functions, or preparedness to become a qualified environmental auditor.
- A thorough awareness of Environmental and Quality Standards and of Transgrid’s Environmental Procedures and Standards is required or a demonstrated willingness to acquire the knowledge and skills.
- Qualifications in or willingness to complete a hazard identification course to produce prevention techniques in Environment and Occupational Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in accordance with Environmental and WHS legislation.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office computer software.
