**Our Practice**

Our mission is to provide the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach towards preventative care, diagnosis and management of illness. We are committed to promoting health, wellbeing and we aim to treat all patients with dignity and respect. Orana Medical Practice is a small general practice with a small close-knit team of doctors, allied health professionals and nurses.

**The Role**

We are looking for a friendly and energetic senior or experienced medical receptionist to join our practice.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Greeting and directing all patients within the practice.
- Obtaining patient demographic and verifying insurance information at each visit.
- Obtaining necessary patient information to meet current federal guidelines and meaningful use guidelines for electronic medical records.
- Schedule appointments for doctors, allied health and nurses.
- Monitor and review patient schedules for next day office appointments.
- Scanning, faxing and organising paperwork for patients.
- Assists other Medical Receptionists and staff as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness of waiting room.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Experience**
- Minimum of a High School diploma
- At least one year relevant experience and/or training.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.
- Able to work collectively with administration and team.
- Good knowledge and experience using Best Practice Software is preferred.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:
