**_The company_**

Our client is a Melbourne based company, engineering the next generation of robotics, to overcome traditional modular design. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to support the daily underpinnings of large government projects.

**_The role_**
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be working closely with other technical teams, key stakeholders & management, undertaking the following roles:

- Developing project schedules from complex statements of work, contract deliverables list and tasks derived from a work breakdown structure (WBS), with assistance from the Project Manager.
- Assist with the creation of a WBS dictionary to clarify project and task scope.
- Developing and maintaining effective and accurate estimations (time and cost), WBS, schedules and assisting with project monitoring.
- Assisting with the development of contract deliverable documents to the customer, including contract status reports (CSR) and contract master schedules (CMS), conduct of progress reviews and maintenance of the project risk & issues registers.
- Develop and maintain project performance measurement baselines and produce a suite of earned value management reports to assist with project schedule and cost performance.
- Managing project team outcomes and deliverables through the prioritisation of tasks, tracking of progress and communication with key stakeholders.
- Managing material readiness through procurement and subcontracts to the required cost, scope and schedule.
- Provide bid management and support as it relates to derivation of contract terms and scope of work into executable plans, including full costs and project financial plans. _Working under the guidance of Project and Operations Managers and major stakeholders._
- Develop the processes and skill of the team as it relates to the project management body of knowledge and ASDEFCON contracting suite. _These skills can be developed_
- Regular reporting to the CEO, Business Development Managers, and Project Manager on cost forecast, progress and risk management. _Familiarisation with good Risk Management practices desirable but not essential_
- Manage day-to-day operations of the project as required.

**_Your background_**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or other relevant fields.
- Has experience working in scheduling roles or across project planning/coordination, delivering effective and accurate on-time deliverables, to project deadlines.
- Has experience liaising with technical specialists, management, and executive staff, across large projects confirming technical & non-technical requirements and ensuring any risks are appropriately tracked across the design to production processes.
- Enjoys learning across a technically complex environment, while adding to the collaborative nature of the organisation.
- Experience with complex projects, with an understanding of Microsoft Project or similar systems.
