As a **Senior Specialist Strategic Water Planning** in the **Water Strategy team** at Rio Tinto Iron Ore, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing strategic water management plans across our Pilbara iron ore operations and ports. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and passionate team, change the way we approach water management, and spearhead innovative solutions to meet RTIO’s long-term operational and water stewardship goals.
Reporting to the **Principal Strategic Water Planning**, you will:
- Develop strategic water plans: Lead the development of Regional Strategic Water Plans, ensuring alignment with Rio Tinto's water stewardship goals.
- Bridge the gap: Integrate water management decision-making across different operations, mine developments and closure studies.
- Coordinate water balance planning: Support the business in developing long-term water balance projections for mines and ports, aligned to the 10Yr water management planning and strategic water forecast processes.
- Collaborate and connect: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and innovative water management culture.
- Embrace lifelong learning: Continuously learn and improve, staying abreast of evolving water management technologies and regulations.

- Hold a bachelor's degree in a related science/engineering discipline (water focused study experience considered).
- A current manual WA Driver's license.
