The role

As part of our Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) contract, the Program Cost Controller will be embedded within the Program Controls Group, working within the WAMA alliance and serving as the main point of contact for Cost Account Managers (CAMs), Alliance Industry Partners (AIPs) and Platform and Combat Task Engineers to facilitate flow of information across the WAMA domain.
- Analyse program performance and raise awareness of risks to program when they are identified to the CAM/Program Controls Manager.
- Provide accurate input into monthly finance forecasts.
- Process PA3 tasking activity expediently and manage the tasking process, including management of the Tasking Team group mailbox.
- Reviewing Commonwealth of Australia Directive funded activities and ensuring financial year approvals are considered in relation to reported performance, including highlighting tasks at risk of exceeding financial approvals.
- Managing the Program Agreement (contract) tasking process.
- Process Budget Transfer Requests for capital projects to reflect changes to approved budget phasing following Budget Estimates and Additional Estimates processes.
- Liaise with various stakeholders in relation to tracking, investigating, measuring and reporting project Performance against agreed KPIs.

About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce/business/finance (essential) and project management qualifications (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience with budget management and Program Cost Control.
- An understanding of earned value management principles and methodology.
- Knowledge of Government procurement and finance environment (desirable).
- Business improvement and business process mapping, development and improvement activities.
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements with appropriate stakeholder management.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain at minimum, a defence baseline clearance.
