The Rabobank Wholesale team services the large and complex Food and Agribusiness customers of the bank. Relationship Managers / Senior Relationship Bankers (“RM/SRB”) as client owners are responsible for driving strategic deal flow with our customers, own the lending relationship and optimise cross sell to our Wholesale customers. In Australia and New Zealand, the core activities include Lending, structured working capital solutions, and Markets risk management.

**About the role**

This role is an Associate Director position within the Corporate Banking team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Banking and working in close coordination and support of the Senior Relationship Banker Brisbane, the Associate Director will have responsibility for working with and supporting the SRB Brisbane with a range of client and transaction focussed activity, including; relationship management activities for existing customers; new deal origination; and various prospect and segment strategy initiatives.

This role is to drive revenue growth and deal flow and improve profitability of the bank. This role is an exciting opportunity for a driven, ambitious individual with good commercial acumen and a good understanding of credit.

As an Associate Director, this role is expected to deliver a high quality professional level of client service that reflect the vision and values of Rabobank. They are expected to operate with the highest level of integrity and ethical standards as well as use their knowledge to contribute to the sustainable success of our customers.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Developing and strengthening existing customer relationships enhancing Rabobank’s customer value proposition
- Developing capital structure, working capital and risk management opportunities with our existing customer base and for Wholesale prospects
- Preparing client and prospect pitches and manage the credit process for their customer portfolio
- Present Rabobank as a knowledge driven and high quality partner
- To initiate best-practice and innovative industry leading relationship management
- Develop strong relationship with local and international stakeholders.
- To liaise with offices within the global network to ensure the replication of successful client approaches /ideas /initiatives/ structures and the like, across the platform

**To be successful in the role, you will have**:

- Degree in Finance, Economics or Agriculture.
- Strong and proven experience in Corporate & Institutional Banking, with experience, knowledge and exposure to relationship management and credit assessment.
- Good understanding of the bank’s credit process and ability to manage a credit process.
- Confident and articulate communicator and have a collegial engagement approach.
- A strong affinity with food and agriculture sectors, and desire to keep growing and developing your knowledge base and insights.
- Flexible team player with the ability to work under pressure and to be able to work collaboratively within cross functional team environment.
