The role of the Digital Health Technical Analyst is responsible for providing a variety of professional engineering and Information Technology for a range of current and future solutions within the Western Health Electronic Medical Record environment to support the use of EMR technology such as analysis, reporting, Biomedical Devices, Biomedical Device Gateways, DCW’s, printers, WOW’s, workstations, iGel, and Mobility.

At a high level, key responsibilities include collaborating with Project Teams, Biomedical Engineering and Digital Technology Services to implement, document and provide training on the technology relating to the Digital Health Program, respond to technology inquiries, conduct investigations on equipment issues and undergo ongoing technical and EMR training to ensure that high service standards are exceeded.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Be eligible for membership to Engineers Australia
- Have a minimum 2 years’ experience as Class 3 Year 3 Biomedical Engineer
- Have a proven ability to work within a team environment and lead the team in the absent of departmental manager
- Have excellent knowledge and experience in biomedical and information technology
- Be committed to providing service delivery and with successful outcomes
- Have a demonstrated understanding of customer service for internal and external customers and is committed to effectively meeting their needs in a professional manner
- Demonstrate electronic systems problem solving ability
- Ability to perform task without direction and show initiative
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clinical, management and technical staff
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in anaesthetic delivery system, ventilation delivery units and patient monitoring systems
- Have experience in Healthcare and/or Health sector within a large and complex organisation.
- Have experience in configuration and administration of EMR devices including setup and maintenance using Cerner support tools such as Olympus and iCommand.
- Have proven knowledge of technologies such as Windows, Android, iOS, Printers and Medical Devices
- Be familiar with Oracle Health EMR or an equivalent EMR system
