**2 positions each at 0.4 EFT/28 Hours Fractional/Ongoing.**
- 2 Fractional/Ongoing appointments each at 0.4 EFT/28 hours is available in the Department of Cardiology, Royal Melbourne Hospital. The position would be suitable for a Cardiologist with major commitment to clinical cardiology, teaching and research. Major expertise and experience in coronary interventional Cardiology is required. The position involves a role as an Interventional Cardiologist in the Department, participating in interventional coronary work including acute STEMI 24/7 service. Involvement in the structural TAVI service may be possible. The position also involves participation in clinical work in the Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology Ward and Cardiology Outpatients.- The Cardiology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is a major tertiary and quaternary referral centre (apart from transplantation) with particular strengths in adult congenital cardiac disease, interventional Cardiology, and electrophysiology and pacing. The Department has 3 cardiac catheter labs, including a new biplane machine installed early in 2023. It has a full range of FFR, OCT and intravascular ultrasound equipment. The Department is affiliated with the University of Melbourne with major teaching and research priorities. It works closely with the large Cardiac Surgery Unit which has major interests in arterial grafting, off-pump bypass, valve repair, aortic and adult congenital surgery. The hospital is also an intermediate ECMO centre and participates in an ECPR service.**Formal Qualifications Required**:

- Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia
- FRACP and AHPRA registration in Cardiology
