About the role
Temporary opportunity to provide medical services under supervision in a biopsychosocial and cultural mental health model at a Principal House Officer level to patients in a public health care setting.
About you
- Fulfil the accountabilities and responsibilities of this role in accordance with Metro North's purpose and objectives.
- Deliver comprehensive mental health assessment and management to consumers in inpatient, outpatient and emergency care settings.
- Oversee the physical health care of patients including regular metabolic monitoring.
- Take and maintain responsibility of the above on behalf of senior medical staff with line accountability as outlined.
- Ensure patients, families and staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
