**The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.**
This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.
WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint a Planner.
**Key responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the overall delivery of the Planning & Scheduling function for the SSTOM Project. The role will involves execution planning, schedule maintenance, change management, progress measurement and evaluation, trending and forecasting. You may be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining processes for program of construction programmes that reflect agreed methodologies and identify key activities, milestones, and constraints.
- Establishing and maintaining accurate construction, procurement and deliverables schedules based on the Work Breakdown Structure and contract requirements.
- Ensuring the processes and controls for planning are carried in accordance with the Construction Management System and Contract requirements
- Actively contributing to the identification of, mitigation and response to project risks and opportunities
- Establishing and maintaining standards and processes to ensure that program, progress and other scheduling data is maintained up to date in P6, including EV and cost and revenue cash flow requirements
- Preparation of staging documentation for meetings and review
- Coordinating detailed monthly reviews of the project program with delivery teams and consolidate and compile project program reports
- Advising Project managers in report interpretation, analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes.
- Supporting and maintaining strong relationships and clear lines of communication with project teams
**Key requirements for the role**:
- Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline, preferably Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years working as a Planner on a similar scale project
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and manage resources effectively.
