The position is based in the Wiyillin ta Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) service which is located at the James Fletcher Campus in Newcastle and provides a visiting service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the lands of the Awabakal, Wonnarua, Worimi, Biripi and Darkinjung peoples. Wiyiliin ta is a specialist service consisting of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal mental health clinicians who work in partnership with local communities to provide a culturally focused and safe mental health service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander children, young people and families/carers.

**About the job**:

- The successful applicant will be a part of the multidisciplinary team at Wiyiliin ta and utilise resources within that team to offer trauma informed, culturally safe individual and group interventions for children/young people (and their carers) who are referred to the program.

**About You**:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist in training, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, or Counsellor (Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program) that is interested in developing or expanding their skills and knowledge working with children/ adolescents and their families/carers who are referred to the Wiyiliin ta team.

**Your Support**:
The successful applicant will be supported to continue to refine and develop their clinical skills and competencies in working with Aboriginal children, young people and their families and carers. You will also be supported both professionally and culturally through the provision of professional and cultural supervision and via ongoing engagement in learning and development opportunities provided by the CAMHS service and the broader HNELHD mental health service.
